The Institute of Public Administration focuses on the functioning of various political-administrative systems locally, nationally, and internationally, the relationship between politics and administration, the organisation of the civil service, issues of ethics, and policy analysis. Special emphasis is placed on the importance of institutions for the functioning and reform of political-administrative processes.
With effect from February 2012, this programme will be offered in The Hague.

The Institute of Public Administration also offers the Masters Crisis and Security Management and “Management van de Publieke Sector
- The Master Crisis and Security Management a fulltime programme in English offered during day-time. This new Master starts in February 2012.
- The Master Management van de Publieke Sector is a fulltime programme that starts in February 2012 and is taught entirely in Dutch and in the evening hours.
