The political management of public administrations is one of the core themes within public administration. How do political principals provide leadership to the administration, and how do the agents within the administration respond to this?
With effect from February 2012, this programme will be offered in The Hague.
The complicated interactions between political leaders and administrative managers are discussed in the various seminars of this track, while it also becomes apparent that both groups of actors have an impact on the other. In this environment of vested interests, information, reciprocity, and trust public policy is developed and shaped. The seminars aim to provide an overview of available theoretical insights as well as currently important debates on this topic.
