The master’s track in Physics and Science Communication and Society closely co-operates with the MA specialisation ‘Journalistiek & Nieuwe Media’, MA Dutch Language and Culture, Faculty of Humanities, Leiden University.
Entry requirements
- a BSc degree in physics. Students from any university in the Netherlands with a BSc degree in physics will be admitted to the programme. For all other candidates, the Board of Admissions will judge the equivalence to this BSc degree of their previous training. Notably, applicants with a major in physics will be considered. It is strongly recommended that the BSc programme has included the course Learning, Presentation and Communication offered by the Leiden School of Education (ICLON) or an equivalent course.

- Applicants should show proof of sufficient proficiency in English: IELTS test level of at least 6.5 or TOEFL score of at least 570/230, evidenced by an appropriate test.
This requirement does not apply if you have:- completed your education in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia, or
- an International Baccalaureate
- The admission process may include an interview by the Admissions Committee.
