The Master’s specialisation in Pharmacology comprises both compulsory and optional elements. compulsory components are two research projects, both of which include writing a master’s thesis. The main research project must be within the discipline of Pharmacology, Medicinal Pharmacology or Clinical Pharmacology. The minor research project should preferably be in a different discipline of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences. Other compulsory components are: a literature study, including the writing of an essay or thesis, the attending of two advanced lecture series in disciplines of BPS, the attending of the course Scientific Conduct, and the attending of twenty lectures and colloquia presented by other master’s students in BPS. The optional elements can be chosen from supplementary subjects offered or may take the form of a work placement.

Career

The Master’s specialisation in Pharmacology focuses on a number of different subjects such as drug transport and disposition, pharmacokinetics/ pharmacodynamics, hormones in neurosciences, and clinical pharmacology. You are trained to become a junior drug researcher and are prepared for a career in pharmacology.
