The Master’s Programme in Dutch Language and Culture offers you the opportunity to become intensively involved with your preferred aspect of this dynamic field: you can carry out research into your favourite author, study changes in the Dutch language, learn to distinguish between a good and a poor speech, or develop your own journalistic style of writing. The small scale of the programme and the presence of a professor for each specialisation guarantees very personal supervision and broad as well in-depth expertise. The University also has a particularly extensive collection of primary texts that are in themselves an invitation to conduct penetrating research.

De kleinschalige opzet van de opleiding en de aanwezigheid van een hoogleraar voor elke specialisatie garanderen een zeer persoonlijke begeleiding en brede en diepgaande expertise. De universiteit beschikt over een bijzonder uitgebreide collectie primaire teksten die uitnodigen tot diepgravend onderzoek.
In deze masteropleiding kun je kiezen voor een specialisatie Taalbeheersing, Taalkunde, Oudere letterkunde of Moderne letterkunde, of een combinatie daarvan. Hierbinnen kun je je verdiepen in uiteenlopende onderwerpen die aansluiten bij actuele onderzoeksthema’s. Ook is er de specialisatie Journalistiek en nieuwe media. Daarnaast blijft het mogelijk om een geheel eigen masterprogramma Nederlandse taal en cultuur samen te stellen.
