Migration, integration, discrimination, urbanisation, citizenship, social cohesion, civil society, global interactions and economic crises: all these are currently major topics of political and public debate. They are the issues around which the Migration and Global Interdependence specialisation centres.
Entry requirements
- A BA degree or its equivalent, with a relevant specialisation and good results.
- A reading knowledge of Dutch is preferred for the following specialisations:
- History of the European Expansion and Globalisation
- Medieval and Early Modern European History
- Political Culture and National Identities
- Proof of sufficient proficiency in English: IELTS test level of at least 6.5 or TOEFL score of at least 570/230/88-90, evidenced by an appropriate test.
This requirement does not apply if you have:- completed your education in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia, or
- an International Baccalaureate, or
- a Dutch VWO diploma
Students who have a BA in History from Leiden University do not have to apply for admission.
