The teacher-training in French is a preparation for a career in high school education or in MBO (intermediate vocational) education. On completion of this programme you will obtain a second master’s degree and a high-school teaching qualification (eerstegraads lesbevoegdheid) in the subject of the programme.
Full-time students under the age of 30 are often allowed one year extra study grant for this second master’s programme.
Arbeidsmarkt
Als universitair opgeleide docent heb je volop mogelijkheden; academici zijn zeer gewild in het voortgezet onderwijs. Naast het lesgeven kun je ook managementfuncties vervullen, zoals afdelingsleider of rector. Op Word leraar in het VO vind je actuele en uitgebreide informatie over carrièremogelijkheden en arbeidsvoorwaarden. Er is bovendien voor veel vakken op dit moment een lerarentekort, waardoor je zonder problemen een baan vindt.
Door de ervaring die je opbouwt voor de klas en je docentvaardigheden kun in aanmerking komen voor verschillende functies buiten het onderwijs, zowel bij de overheid als bij bedrijven.
