Research/PhD
Students who are already certain that they want to follow a research career might consider applying for the Research Masters in Asian Studies, which provides specialist training in research methods. However, students can also move on to a PhD programme from the MA in Japanese Studies. PhD scholarships are extremely competitive, and applications are received once a year.
