In the Master’s Programme in Dutch Studies you will explore the language and culture of the Netherlands from the Golden Age – the time of Rembrandt and Vondel – up to the dynamc, multicultural society of the present day. The programme focuses specially on students for whom Dutch is not their native language. Leiden is the only university to offer such an extensive Dutch-language curriculum for international students.

Als je Dutch Studies studeert, houd je je bezig met meer dan de taal alleen. Je bestudeert de geschiedenis en kunstgeschiedenis van de Lage Landen, de literatuur en de taalkunde. Na afronding van de masteropleiding zul je in staat zijn de Nederlandse cultuur en samenleving te doorgronden.
