What our students say

Jaap Schreurs, Management specialisation

“I am intrigued by the origin of diseases.”

“I liked studying Biomedical Sciences Management a lot. But I also liked the extracurricular activities such as participating in education committees and being a member of the board of the student association at the LUMC. These activities taught me that I like organizing, advising and solving tangible problems together with others.

Compose your own master
The beauty of the master program Biomedical Sciences lies in its flexibility. You can shape most of your own program so that it fits your wishes, interests and future plans. Therefore you can specialize in a particular field, learn all sorts of techniques or, as I did, broaden your horizon in different fields.

Problem solving
As of September I will start at the Boston Consulting Group, one of the leading strategic consultants in the world. I will work as a team member solving problems of companies, Governments or institutions such as hospitals. Often it involves problems that make it necessary to change the organization. Both the analytical skills, which BW provides you with, as well as the social dynamical skills seem to me to be very challenging.

Before you decide, make sure you know what you want to do and don’t take your decision too quickly. In the meantime do not forget to use and enjoy all the possibilities offered by LUMC.”
