The Master’s specialisation in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences and Education comprises a one-year pharmaceutical component (taught in English) and a one-year teacher-training programme (taught in Dutch).

Entry requirements

  • A BSc degree in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences, Pharmaceutical Sciences or Pharmacy from any Dutch university. Students holding such degree will directly be admitted to the programme. For all other candidates, the Admissions Committee will evaluate the equivalence of their previous training to this Bachelor of Science degree.
    Please note, that basic research training in the field of life sciences is required. Students who have a BSc in Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences from Leiden University are directly admissible.
  • Proof of proficiency in Dutch
  • Proof of sufficient proficiency in English: IELTS test level of at least 6.5 or TOEFL score of at least 570/230, evidenced by appropriate test.
    This requirement does not apply if you have:
    • completed your education in Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, New Zealand or Australia, or
    • an International Baccalaureate, or
    • a Dutch bachelor’s diploma
  • The admission process may include an interview by the Admissions Committee.
