The master’s track in Science Communication and Society comprises a one-year astronomy research component and a one-year communication component. It offers students the opportunity to combine previous research training with programmes in different aspects of science communication, such as journalism, new media, museology and information visualisation.
Career
The Astronomy and Science Communication and Society specialisation deals with science communication in a broad sense. The programme prepares students for a career at the interface of science and public affairs, for example as science writer, a science policy-maker, a public relations officer or as a research scientist with a special communication skills.
