The Analytical Biosciences track consists of compulsory and optional components. Compulsory components are the two research projects, both including the writing of a master’s thesis. The major research project must be in the discipline af Analytical Biosciences, the minor research project preferably in a different discipline of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS). Other compulsory components are: a literature study, including the writing of an essay or thesis, the attending of two advanced lecture series in disciplines of BPS, the attending of the course Scientific Conduct, and the attending of twenty lectures and colloquia presented by other master’s students in BPS. For the optional component, the master’s student can choose from additional courses or traineeships.
Career
The master’s specialisation Analytical Biosciences comprises analytical chemistry focusing on hyphenated bio-analytical strategies including proteomics. Students are trained to become junior drug researchers and are prepared for a career in analytical chemistry.
